Interim Health, Safety and Environment Manager
Day Rate: Circa £300-350 Per Day (Outside IR35)
Location: Manchester
We're pleased to be partnered with a leading global FMCG manufacturing organisation, who are seeking an Interim Health, Safety and Environment Manager. The role will lead on health, safety and environmental strategy and operational management to achieve sustainable SHE excellence at the site in Manchester.
Responsibilities of the Interim Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:
- Ensuring the facility is fully compliant with both UK legislation and the global strategy for health, safety and environment.
- Drive safety and environment risk assessment and develop/implement appropriate controls.
- Reduce the site's environmental impact in the areas of hazardous & non-hazardous waste, CO2 emissions and water & energy consumption.
- Assist the site leader to develop and manage the internal crisis committees and safety committee; support the site leader in managing serious incident investigation and analysis
The successful Interim Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role within FMCG or Manufacturing.
- Ideally a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
