Health and Safety Manager
Salary: £50,000 + benefits
Location: Telford, Shropshire
We're supporting a growing construction organisation to recruit a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to oversee and develop safety systems across the business. This key leadership role involves working both from the office and on-site across various projects, ensuring adherence to UK legislation and ISO standards, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The successful Health and Safety Manager will:
- Lead and support site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Maintain ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems, aligning with organisational goals.
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, HASAWA 1974, and Building Safety Act regulations.
- Support pre-construction and tender submissions with SHEQ input.
- Manage training programmes, deliver internal SHEQ training, and coach site teams to sustain high standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge of construction health and safety legislation
- Hold a NEBOSH qualification
- Experience with ISO systems.
- Proven leadership and organisational skills in a multi-site construction environment.
