Irwin and Colton are delighted to announce that we are partnering alongside a leading educational institution to recruit for a dedicated Fire Safety Advisor. The role is overseeing fire safety compliance across their diverse property portfolio. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting fire safety awareness, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting construction and operational projects across sites.
Key Responsibilities of the Fire Safety Advisor:
- Conduct fire risk assessments across sites, monitoring actions and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and review emergency evacuation plans, ensuring their effectiveness and compliance with legislation.
- Support fire safety audits, inspections, and ensure adherence to statutory fire controls.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and authorities to address fire safety concerns.
- Support fire safety training programmes and contribute to fire safety meetings and drills.
The successful Fire Safety Advisor will have:
- Demonstrable experience in fire safety assessment, legislation, and compliance.
- NEBOSH Fire Qualification or Relevant fire safety qualification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external bodies.
- Knowledge of fire safety procedures, emergency planning, and risk assessment practices.
