Sustainability Manager
Leeds | £45,000 - £55,000 + Car allowance
Irwin and Colton are looking to identify a Sustainability Manager to join a leading construction and infrastructure company. This role will be joining an established team, working on major projects in Leeds. The organisation has a track record of successful delivery of high-profile projects, and the Sustainability agenda is core to their operations. Key responsibilities of the Sustainability Manager will include:
- Ensuring the delivery of the Sustainability policy, and compliance with legislation and regulations throughout the project
- Attend site wide surveys / screening surveys: collecting data to establish a baseline condition on Environmental and Sustainability issues for a site or area of consideration
- Conducting site visits and audits, constantly scanning for opportunities to drive improvements and deliver training where required
- Acting as a point of contact for the Environmental Sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors and regulators
The successful Sustainability Manager requires:
- Demonstrable Sustainability experience, ideally within the construction, utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering or a related sector
- Ideally degree qualified and ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised Sustainability body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWM)
- Experience working with ISO 14001, and ideally experience with carbon management
- A passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop a career within the Sustainability space
