Sustainability Manager | Thatcham with hybrid working
Circa £55,000 + Car allowance + Excellent Benefits
Irwin and Colton has been engaged by a global leader in the construction industry to recruit a Sustainability Manager. This Principal Contractor turnover in excess of £1bn, and are currently engaged on a broad range of major projects. This position will be involved with one of their major clients on a large capital project.
The ability to get security clearance is essential for this role.
Key responsibilities of the Sustainability Manager will include:
- Assist with the development of strategy and implement the delivery of new initiatives across the project.
- Ensuring the delivery of the sustainability policy, and compliance with legislation and regulations on site.
- Act as the main point of contact for the environmental sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors and regulators, engaging with these contacts to drive sustainability performance forward.
- Support the company's wider ambitions to reduce corporate carbon emissions.
The successful Sustainability Manager requires:
- Demonstrable environmental and sustainability experience within Construction, Civil Engineering, or related industry ideally in major projects.
- Qualified in an appropriate environmental discipline and ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas throughout the organisation.
- A passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop.
