Site Safety, Health and Environment Manager
Location: Bremerhaven, Germany
Circa €80,000 Plus 25% Bonus and Excellent Benefits

We're delighted to be partnering with Nomad Foods, Europe's leading frozen food company and one of the largest in the world, to secure a new Site Safety, Health and Environment Manager.

With a portfolio of leading brands which includes Birds Eye, Findus and iglo, Nomad Foods manufacture, sell and distribute a range of branded frozen food products across 13 European countries with the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Sweden and France representing their five largest markets.

This is an unique opportunity to define and shape safety management and strategy across one of their leading sites in Bremerhaven, Germany.

Responsibilities of the Site Safety, Health and Environment Manager will include:

  • Leading the overall strategy for health, safety and environment, in line with the companies standards and policies

  • Driving improvements in safety performance through strategic gap analysis, developing programmes to reduce risk and strive for best practice

  • Coaching, managing and mentoring a small Health and Safety team

  • Engaging across the business, including working with Business Unit Leads, Function Leads and Heads of Operation, to drive a positive health, safety and environment culture

The successful Site Safety, Health and Environment Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in large and complex organisations, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG or an industrial environment

  • Proven leadership and management experience and an ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders

  • In-depth knowledge of German safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards including DGUV Vorschrift 2

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or NEBOSH (or equivalent)

It is essential candidates are fluent in German and English.
