Senior Health and Safety Advisor
London | Circa £67,000 + Car Allowance
Irwin and Colton have exclusively partnered with LBFoster to recruit their new Senior Health and Safety Advisor. LB Foster are a global infrastructure solutions organisation which specialise within the rail sector, turning over in excess of $500m globally. This role is predominantly responsible for a number of major mechanical and electrical projects in stations across the London rail network. This role is the main point of contact for all health and safety queries.
Due to the nature of LB Fosters projects, experience with mechanical and electrical sites within a rail environment is essential.
Responsibilities for the Senior Health and Safety Advisor will include:
Engaging key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the vision for health and safety is communicated and implemented through the supply chain
Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions to drive performance improvements
Working with the wider Operational Team in the delivery of the Health and Safety strategy
Auditing sites and communicating performance across the company, identifying opportunities for improvement
The successful Senior Health and Safety Advisor will have:
Proven experience in a similar health and safety position across mechanical and electrical projects within the rail environment
Experience influencing and engaging with key internal senior stakeholders
NEBOSH General (or equivalent) and hold or working towards CertIOSH
A pragmatic approach to safety and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
