We're supporting a dynamic organisation within the manufacturing sector to appoint a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager. The role involves overseeing safety strategies, conducting inspections, and ensuring legislative compliance across two sites in the Aire Valley area.
The successful Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
- Lead safety audits, incident investigations, and accident reporting.
- Manage environmental impacts, compliance with ISO standards and permits, and drive sustainability initiatives.
- Chair regular HSE meetings and promote best practices across all personnel.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Level 6 NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with strong legislative knowledge.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to influence safety culture.
- Familiarity with ISO 14000, ISO 45000.
This is a pivotal role for a confident, hands-on professional who can work collaboratively, lead by example, and establish structure and accountability from day one.
