Health and Safety Manager
Berkshire (with European travel)
£55,000 - £65,000 plus excellent benefits
Irwin and Colton has partnered with a world leading hospitality and leisure company (a constituent of the FTSE-100), to recruit a new Health and Safety manager. This company has a large global footprint, and this role will be responsible for managing a real estate portfolio across the UK and Europe (safety, facilities, and security).
The role will be part of the wider central corporate team of Health and Safety Professionals, who look after a large property portfolio across a diverse list of countries. The role will report to the European Director of Health, Safety, and Security on all matters.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
Developing and managing the strategy for health and safety across the real estate portfolio
Managing all safety procedures for full compliance across the portfolio
Develop and implement new initiatives to increase health and safety performance, awareness and understanding across the business
Working closely with site security ensuring wider risks are mitigated for staff and customers
Engaging across the business to drive a positive safety culture
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
NEBOSH General Certificate (essential) and relevant Membership of IOSH
Proven experience in a similar environment; ideally within residential or commercial real estate, facilities management, or the wider hospitality sector
Proven management experience within multi-site operations and an ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
Strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation
The right candidate must be comfortable and able to do international travel as-and-when required.
