Health and Safety Manager
Barnsley | Circa £55,000 + Car or Allowance
We have been engaged by a leading civils and utility services organisation to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. The role is focused on helping to ensure the safe delivery of maintenance and capital investment projects on long-term utility contracts. Our client has an excellent track record across health and safety, and this role is critical to its continued success.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include:
- Taking a lead role in implementing health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to
- Engaging with Senior Managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical health and safety related
- Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations, using results to seek areas for improvement and development in health and safety
- Engaging with the clients as required and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for the business.
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within civil engineering, telecoms or utilities
- A NEBOSH Diploma and ideally a member of IOSH (or equivalemnt)
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations
This position will require a self-starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running. A UK Driver's license is essential. Contact Leon Robinson on
