Health and Safety Manager
London | Circa £75,000 + All Travel and Benefits
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a high-profile construction company, with a turnover of circa £100m, to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. The company is currently engaged on a broad range of major construction, demolition, and infrastructure projects, and this role is specifically focused on one of their highest-profile 'cut and carve' projects in Central London, where they act as Principal Contractor.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include:
- Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
- Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required
- Reviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queries
- Undertaking audits and inspections of the sites, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on the findings
The successful Health and Safety Manager candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role from a civil engineering, demolition or construction background
- NEBOSH General Certificate and ideally relevant membership of IOSH
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people
- Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture
