Health and Safety Manager
London | Circa £60,000 + Excellent benefits
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's largest real estate organisations who are looking to bring onboard a new Health and Safety Manager. This role will specifically be working alongside one of the organisation's most prestigious partners who own and develop numerous properties across London. The organisation holds a multibillion-pound property portfolio with a focus on commercial property.
This role will primarily focus on working and managing closely with key internal stakeholders across the business, to drive improvements across the health and safety performance within the major property portfolio and lead by example by driving best practice across the business. The role will report into the Head of Health and Safety with two indirect reports.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
- Leading on the engagement with stakeholders across the organisation to drive a positive culture
- Day-to-day management on health and safety including investigating incidents, risk assessments, management systems, and then create and drive strategy to mitigate those risks
- Managing the wider team in the development and delivery of the strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Graduate Membership of IOSH as a minimum
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety role; managing peers and driving change across an organisation
- Experience in influencing, engaging, and liaising with stakeholders across all levels of organisations, from site through to boardroom
- Good working understanding of relevant ISO systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001)
