Health and Safety Facility Manager
Location: Derbyshire (site-based 5 days per week)
Circa £70,000 Plus Benefits
We've been engaged by a global consultancy who have partnered with one of the world's largest conglomerate businesses that have divisional units within Biotechnology and Chemical processing. They are looking to bring onboard a new Health and Safety Facility Manager to be based at a major chemical manufacturing site in Derbyshire.
The Health and Safety Facility Manager will identify, develop, and implement health, safety and environmental programs and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and corporate standards. This position reports directly to the Corporate HSE Manager (with a dotted line to the Business COO) and will have one direct report.
The organisation has an excellent reputation in the industry, with a long history of successful operations across the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Facility Manager will include:
Promoting a positive health and safety culture across the site, seeking best practice at every opportunity
Developing and managing the annual Health, Safety and Environment plan and objectives
Keeping updated with key changes to legislation to ensure compliance
Managing the induction, training and development programme across the site
Continually developing and reviewing Health, Safety and Environment management systems in line with industry best practice
The successful Health and Safety Facility Manager will have:
Proven experience in a similar role within waste, manufacturing, chemicals, or a related industry
NEBOSH Certificate (as minimum) and ideally membership of a relevant professional body (i.e IOSH)
COMAH experience
The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation
