Health and Safety Consultant
Circa 4 Month Contract
Aylesbury
Circa £350 Per Day (Outside IR35)
We've been engaged by a global consultancy to secure a Health and Safety Consultant to work on a circa-4-month contract with a new client of theirs on a high-risk manufacturing site in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing the site into full compliance which will involve building a health and safety roadmap outlining strategy and procedure, amongst other key deliverables on site.
This role will require someone to be full-time on-site for 5 days per week.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Consultant will include:
- Building a health and safety roadmap to bring the site into full compliance
- Working closely with the senior management team to implement the health, safety and environment policies and procedures in line with the business evolution and growth
- Engaging across the organisation from the senior management to the shop floor to embed health and safety best practice
- Managing a regular audit and reporting program and communicating performance across the company
- Being the main driver of health and safety on site, acting as the key Health, Safety and Environment point of contact for a range of stakeholders including external regulators and customers
The successful Health and Safety Consultant will have:
- Similar experience in a health, safety, and environment role ideally within manufacturing, chemicals, hazardous materials, environmental waste management or similar high hazardous industry experience
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- Ideally a NEBOSH, NVQ 5, or NCRQ diploma (or equivalent)
- Membership of IOSH (Grad or Chartered)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation
