Health and Safety Compliance Officer
Location: London
Up to £40,000 plus Car Allowance
Irwin and Colton are pleased to have been engaged by a leading Facilities Services organisation, who are looking to recruit a new Health and Safety Compliance Officer. The Organisation provides soft facilities management services to a broad portfolio of clients including Social Housing, Education, Commercial Offices and major Tourist Attractions across London.
This role will involve visiting client sites within the M25 and will be reporting into the Group Health, Safety and Environment Manager.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Compliance Officer will include:
- Assisting on the Health and Safety Policy and procedures and monitoring compliance
- Attending client meetings in relation to any HSE matters
- Ensuring that all FM contractors are compliant according to company policy and legislation
- Providing advice and guidance on all aspects of health, safety and environmental matters to ensure legislative and standards compliance throughout the company
The successful Health and Safety Compliance Officer will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role within health and safety (ideally within facilities management or the wider property space)
- NEBOSH General Certificate / Equivalent and relevant membership of IOSH
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues at all levels
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems
