This organisation is a critical link between the UK and mainland Europe, operating within a high volume, fast paced environment where efficiency and reliability are essential.

With ongoing growth and complex operations, health and safety compliance is central to maintaining performance and operational excellence.

In this position, you'll act as the lead health and safety presence on site, partnering with operational leaders to drive standards, influence behaviours and embed a proactive, high-accountability safety culture.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

  • Owning and continuously improving health and safety systems on site, ensuring policies and procedures are embedded in day to day operations
  • Leading inspections, audits and risk assessments, driving actions through to completion
  • Managing incidents and near misses from investigation through to preventative measures
  • Supporting and advising site leadership, delivering training and using data and KPIs to improve overall safety performance

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

  • NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a logistics, transport, manufacturing or similarly fast-paced operational environment
  • A hands-on, visible approach with the credibility to operate independently on site
  • Working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and its practical application
