We have been engaged by a leading mining and extractives company to recruit an ESG Manager. This position will be responsible for leading a growing team, and will be involved in developing and implementing the Environmental and Sustainability strategy across the business. The company have made good progress on the ESG agenda thus far, and are looking for someone to continue this progress, and input new ideas to ensure continual improvement.
This is a great opportunity to help to drive environmental performance in both the commissioning and production phases of the Plymouth site, for this leading organisation.
Responsibilities for the ESG Manager will include:
Ensuring the delivery and development of the ESG agenda, driving this forward across the site and company, influencing decision making and best practice
Managing a developing team, identifying any gaps and providing solutions to ensure the team is working as effectively as possible, with clear goals and action points
Constantly scanning for opportunities to drive improvements, and deliver training where required
Acting as the main point of contact for ESG, liaising with key stakeholders
The successful ESG Manager will have:
Proven experience in a similar role ideally within mining, construction, extractives or related heavy industrial experience
Qualified in an appropriate environmental discipline, and ideally membership of IEMA
A strong technical knowledge across relevant Environmental legislation, compliance and regulations, ideally with ISO 14001 experience
Excellent communications skills with a drive to have a real impact on a company`s environmental journey
