Environment & Sustainability Manager - Major Infrastructure Project

Are you an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Manager looking to make an impact on one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure projects?

We're working with a well-established Tier One contractor to recruit an experienced professional to lead environmental and sustainability performance across a complex and fast-paced site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role in shaping best practice across a nationally significant project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee environmental performance across key work packages, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and wider legislation
• Lead site teams on material management plans, permits, and sustainability objectives
• Manage internal audits and reporting to both client and regulators
• Liaise with stakeholders including local authorities and statutory bodies
• Provide technical advice and support around waste, water, air quality, and carbon
• Deliver training and workshops to improve awareness and performance
• Support the rollout of business-wide sustainability strategy on-site

What We're Looking For:

• Strong experience managing environmental performance on large-scale civils/infrastructure projects
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA)
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and ISO 14001/50001 systems
• Experience liaising with regulatory bodies and leading incident investigations
• Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills
• Full UK driving licence and ability to be based commutable to the project
