Environment Advisor
Manchester or Liverpool
£35,000 - £40,000 + car / car allowance + benefits
We're pleased to be engaged by one of the leaders in the waste and recycling industry, to recruit an Environment Advisor. The Environment advisor will support the site operations across the business and will be working closely with the Environment and Sustainability Manager to achieve this. The company turnover circa £300m and this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional who is looking to develop their career further with a leader in the industry.
Responsibilities of the Environment Advisor will include:
- Managing and monitoring the working environment and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
- Conducting site visits and audits, constantly scanning for opportunities to drive improvements and delivering training where required.
- Manage and Monitor sustainability data and provide feedback to a range of stakeholders
- Acting as a point of contact for the environment and sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients and regulators.
The successful Environment Advisor will have:
- Demonstrable environmental experience, ideally within waste, manufacturing or related industry
- Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline
- Ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
- Have a passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop a career within the environmental space
