Environment Advisor
Bicester | £33,000 - £38,000 + Company Car
Irwin and Colton are working with one of the UK's leading waste management companies, to recruit a new Environment Advisor. This role will sit within the energy from waste business unit, which is an area of the business that is continuing to grow, with new sites currently under construction, and as such are expanding their environmental team to support this. This role will involve supporting all environmental matters across two of their sites.

Key responsibilities of the Environmental Advisor will include:
- Ensuring delivery of the Environmental policy and compliance with the latest legislation and regulations
- Working closely with the Environment Manager, to provide technical support on a number of environmental matters, such as permit compliance and waste management, across the sites
- Managing the environmental monitoring programme for the sites
- Conducting site audits, seeking opportunities to drive improvements and deliver training if/when required
The successful Environmental Advisor requires:
- Demonstrable Environmental, on-site, experience, ideally within the energy from waste, EfW / waste to energy, WtE, power, utilities or related sector
- A degree in an Environmental or science-based discipline and ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised Environmental body, such as IEMA, CIEEM, CIWM
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop your career
