Energy and Sustainability Manager

Irwin and Colton has been engaged by one of the UK's leading property owners and developers to recruit an Energy and Sustainability Manager. This FTSE 250 company have recently added to their portfolio of large developments across the UK, and are looking for a sustainability professional to ensure these buildings are running as efficiently as they should be. The company are working towards their Net 0 Carbon 2030 target, and this role is an integral in helping them achieve this.
This is a hybrid position with site travel.
Responsibilities for the Energy and Sustainability Lead will include:
- Assisting on the development of the Energy and Sustainability strategy, implementing action points throughout organisation
- Identifying areas of improvement and providing solutions within energy, carbon and cost reductions, ensuring building compliance and suitable EPC ratings
- Engaging with a range of key stakeholders including contractors, clients and regulatory bodies, to help drive performance
- Ensuring accurate reporting and communicating this across the organisation
The successful Energy and Sustainability Lead will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within property, construction, facilities management, or related field
- Ideally a degree in Environment, Sustainability or related subject and ideally membership of IEMA
- Excellent communications skills with proven experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders
- A strong technical knowledge across environment and sustainability, and ideally energy
