Irwin and Colton have been exclusively engaged to recruit a Director of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) in a newly created role. Our client is one of the UK's leading, privately owned commercial property investment and management companies, operating in key locations throughout the UK, Germany, and Poland. With a portfolio in excess of 19,000,000 sq.ft and a UK investment portfolio in excess of £2bn, this is an exceptional opportunity.
Responsibilities of the Director of SHEQ will include:
Driving a culture of best practice across the business and property portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance
Providing expert guidance and leadership to the Board of Directors and engaging with all staff across the organisation on health and safety issues
Ensuring activities across the portfolio are properly risk assessed and manage a regular audit programme to evaluate performance
Developing and managing the SHEQ management system, seeking opportunities to improve and enhance overall strategy and performance
The successful Director of SHEQ will have:
Proven experience in a similar role within property, the built environment, facilities, or a related industry with a major property portfolio
Experience in influencing, engaging, and coaching across all levels of the organisation from site to the boardroom
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH
A solution focused, tenacious attitude coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to successfully operate within a fast-paced environment
