Senior Sustainability Manager | London with site travel
£70,000 + Car allowance + Excellent Benefits
We're delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading Principal Contractors to recruit a new Senior Sustainability Manager. The company turnover close to a billion in annual revenue and work on some of the most prestigious high rise and complex commercial and residential construction projects in the Capital.
The company have a clear mission to drive change for a more Sustainable built environment and have ambitions to be leaders in the industry. This position will have the opportunity to lead on sustainability strategy across multiple high profile sites in London.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Sustainability.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Sustainability Manager will include:
Develop strategy and implement delivery of new initiatives across the organisation
Working closely with the wider project teams on matters regarding BREEAM, and reporting progress and findings back to the design teams
Ensuring the delivery of the environmental policy, and compliance with legislation and regulations across a wide range of diverse projects
Managing Environment Advisors and visiting sites, seeking for opportunities to drive improvements
Act as a main point of contact for the environmental sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors and regulators
The successful Senior Sustainability Manager requires:
Demonstrable environmental and sustainability experience, ideally within Construction, Civil engineering, or related industry
Qualified in an appropriate environmental discipline, and experience working with BREEAM
Ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
A passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop
