Senior Health & Safety Manager
Home Based with National Travel
Salary: Circa £65,000 + Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits
We're pleased to have been engaged by a national retailer and services provider to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Manager. The organisation are leaders in their field with circa 800 sites and 5000 employees spanning the length and breadth of the UK. The role will report directly to the Head of Health and Safety.
This is an exciting position which will involve leading and managing a team of regional Health and Safety Advisors alongside working closely with the Head of Health and Safety on strategy development and new initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Senior Health & Safety Manager will include:
- Working with the Senior Leadership Team to shape the health and safety strategy
- Oversee safety across a portfolio of sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a positive safety culture
- Leading and mentoring a team of Health and Safety Advisors and ensuring the continued successful implementation of the safety strategy
- Leading on the accurate and timely reporting on health and safety performance
- Enhance employee safety through training and development initiatives, ensuring all team members are equipped with necessary safety skills.
The successful Senior Health & Safety Manager will have:
- NEBOSH Diploma / Equivalent and relevant membership of IOSH
- Proven experience in a similar role and relevant industry experience (eg. Retail, hospitality, healthcare, property)
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with the ability to prioritise effectively
- A pragmatic and solutions-focused outlook with the ability to spot improvements across the organisation
- Full UK driving license
