Senior Health and Safety Manager
Location: Surrey/Southeast
Salary: up to £62,000 + Car Allowance
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's major Construction/Facilities Management organisations, who are looking to bring onboard a new Senior Health and Safety Manager.
This role will specifically be working alongside one of the organisation's clients within the Public Sector, which would entail working in environments such as schools, youth centres, local authority facilities, and commercial offices. This role will be ensuring that the FM contractors are compliant across each of the sites, as well as liaising with internal staff on health and safety protocol.
Responsibilities of the Senior Health and Safety Manager will include:
Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to lead and drive a positive culture
Day-to-day strategy on the management of ISO-system 45001 and 14001
Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions to drive performance improvements
Ensuring all contractors are compliant on the given sites
Meeting KPI metrics agreed between the client account and contractor provider
The successful Senior Health and Safety Manager will have:
NEBOSH Diploma / equivalent (and relevant IOSH membership)
Fire qualifications(s) would be ideal, but experience is key
Proven experience in a similar health and safety role; ideally Property / Facilities Management
Proven experience of ISO Management systems (45001 and 14001)
A pragmatic approach to safety and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
