We're pleased to have been engaged by a leading specialist chemical organisation, who are one of the largest of their kind in the UK, to recruit a Safety, Health and Environment Advisor. The role will support the Safety, Health and Environment Manager and will have broad exposure to a variety of Health and Safety projects and initiatives.
The company is going from strength to strength and this position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to grow and develop their career and responsibilities within the Health and safety team.
Responsibilities of the Safety, Health and Environment Advisor will include:
Ensuring the site is compliant with both UK legislation and in line with wider Group strategy for Health, Safety and Environment
Support and provide education and training within the Company for Health, Safety and Environment
Auditing Health, Safety and Environmental performance, accurately reporting and investigating incidents and near misses
Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, operational staff and external regulators
Leading on new initiatives and always seeking opportunities to improve and develop Health, Safety and Environment strategy
The successful Safety,Health and Environment Advisor will have:
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an industrial / manufacturing environment (chemicals experience would be an advantage)
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
A keen eye for detail, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
