Interim Health and Safety Advisor
Newcastle
Day rate - £300 (Inside IR35)
We've been engaged by a well-established chemical manufacturing company to recruit an Interim Health and Safety Advisor. This role will work as part of the wider Health and Safety team reporting into the site Health and Safety Manager. The organisation has an excellent track record for health and safety and this role will play a key role in the successful delivery of Health and Safety strategy across the site.
Responsibilities for the Interim Health and Safety Advisor will include:
- Ensuring the facility is fully compliant with both UK legislation and the global strategy for health, safety and environment
- Providing specialist technical and administration support, covering all mechanical equipment and hard facilities across the site
- Auditing safety, health and environmental performance, accurately reporting and investigating incidents and near misses
- Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies
The successful Interim Health and Safety Advisor will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a related manufacturing, engineering, or Chemical environment
- NEBOSH or NCRQ Certificate and membership of IOSH
- Experience of working with ISO management systems
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging clients, staff, and contractors
