Health and Safety Consultant
Bristol
£400 per day (outside IR35)
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a specialist civils and earthworks contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Consultant. This role will work alongside the existing Health and Safety team on a range of Improvement projects across the Health and Safety function, as well as supporting the team at site level. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has experience delivering business improvement but is also keen to engage at site level.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Consultant will include:
- Engaging across the site, implementing health, safety end environment policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with legislation
- Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required
- Working closely with the current Health and Safety Lead, reviewing current policies and processes, and looking for areas of improvement
- Attending sites and undertaking Gap analysis of current performance and assessing for areas of improvement.
The successful Health and Safety Consultant will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally from within construction, civil engineering, or a related industry
- NEBOSH Certificate and ideally membership of IOSH
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to tailor a message and communicate to a range of stakeholders
