Health and Safety Business Partner
London-based (hybrid working model)
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 plus excellent benefits
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's leading real estate organisations (and a constituent of the FTSE-250 index) to identify a new Health and Safety Business Partner. The organisation hold a multibillion-pound property portfolio across London, including a range of high-end commercial properties.
The role will focus on operating and developing the health and safety strategy in place across a managed portfolio of properties, as well as working closely with contractors on any minor projects across the portfolio (refurbishments / fitout works). The position will liaise with various stakeholders at all levels across the business, aiming to raise the level of health and safety performance across the portfolio, and report to the Head of Health and Safety.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Business Partner will include:
- Ensure a culture of best health and safety practice across the business and property portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance is met
- Provide expert guidance and leadership to building managers, projects team, and contractors on health and safety issues when overseeing minor project works
- Ensure activities across the portfolio are properly risk assessed and manage a regular audit programme to evaluate performance
- Develop and manage the health and safety management system, seeking opportunities to improve and enhance the overall health and safety strategy and performance
The successful Health and Safety Business Partner will have:
- NEBOSH Diploma (and relevant membership of IOSH)
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety role; ideally within property, facilities management, or related industry experience
- Proven experience of influencing and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Proven experience of CDM (client side) is ideal
This role is full-time (London-based 3 days per week, working from home 2 days per week).
