Head of Health and Safety
London (with some wider UK travel)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 plus benefits
Irwin and Colton have engaged on an exciting opportunity with one of the UK's leading independent catering organisations, who are looking to bring onboard a new Head of Health and Safety. This organisation is well-recognised across the UK and this role is a great opportunity to lead and develop health and safety, as well as food safety across the organisation.
This will be a varied role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will work closely with the board, reporting to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities of the Head of Health and Safety will include:
Leading, influencing, and engaging across the organisation to promote a positive health, safety, and food safety culture in line with overall company strategy
Responsible for all aspects of safety, hygiene, and licencing compliance across the
organisation
Oversee the day-to-day implementation of management systems and auditing by the team
Representing the company at Board-level as required, as well as guiding senior stakeholders across wider operations
Overseeing direct reports with site managers to create solutions and ensuring key priorities from audits are actioned
Leading on the rollout of initiatives to meet customer and client expectations
The successful Head of Health and Safety will have:
Environmental Health Degree / Advanced Food level 4 qualified is essential
NEBOSH General Certificate (ideally Diploma)
Proven experience in a similar role across health, safety, and food safety (ideally within the hospitality industry)
Strong experience influencing and engaging with stakeholders, from catering staff to Board members
The position would suit an experienced professional with leadership experience and can bring new ideas. The position will be predominantly London-focussed, with some wider UK travel
