Global Environmental and Sustainability Lead
Circa 120,000 Euros plus bonus, benefits and car allowance

We're currently engaged to recruit a Global Environmental and Sustainability Lead to join a global manufacturer of technology and engineering systems. The organisation has a large global presence, and this role is responsible for the continual development of the world-wide sustainability strategy, keeping up to date with and adopting legislative changes across the regions. Being a leader in sustainable innovation within their field, the company has made good progress on their ambitious targets, and this role is integral to their continued success.
This role can be based in various European locations including Stuttgart, Brno, Bucharest or Prague.
Responsibilities of the Global Environmental and Sustainability Lead will include:
Leading the world-wide Environment and Sustainability strategy development, and lead the team to drive this forward across the organisation, influencing decision making and best practice
Development and delivery of specific sustainability roadmaps, including carbon reduction, energy, waste and water, reporting effectiveness and updating targets and action points as necessary
Identify and analyse group-wide data, developing measurable action points to be incorporated in objectives throughout the organisation
Coordinate environmental risk compliance within manufacturing facilities, by ensuring market changing legislation across each region is continually updated and adhered to
Act as the main point of contact for the sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulators
The successful Global Environmental and Sustainability Lead will have:
Proven Environmental or Sustainability Management experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong technical knowledge across relevant environmental and sustainability legislation, compliance, and regulations
Degree level qualification or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline, and ideally hold (or working towards) a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
A passion for excellence, and an ambition to lead the sustainability agenda within an industry leader
