Fire Safety Manager
Home Based with National Travel
Salary: Circa £55,000 plus Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits
We're pleased to have been engaged by a national retailer and services provider to recruit a Fire Safety Manager. The organisation are leaders in their field with circa 800 sites and over 5000 employees spanning the length and breadth of the UK.
This role will report to the Head of Health and Safety and will work closely with them to develop the overall Fire Safety strategy for the business.
Responsibilities of the Fire Safety Manager include:
- Review the completion of the Fire Risk Assessment program. Including the validation of the assessments and appointment of Specialist contractors for the completion of Fire Risk Assessments
- Development of fire safety management training
- Support Corporate Health & Safety, to review and amend the Policy for Fire Safety and Fire Risk Assessments
- Continually looking for opportunities to improve performance across fire safety and creating new and innovative ideas
- Development and implementation of a full companywide fire safety strategy
The successful Fire Safety Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a similar multi-site fire safety position, ideally retail, housing, healthcare, education or similar industry
- Membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers registration (or equivalent)
- NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent (desirable)
- Understanding/knowledge of British Standards Codes and Building Regulation (BS-9999)
- Exceptional communications skills with experience of influencing and engaging effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
