Irwin and Colton are delighted to announce that we have been engaged to recruit for an environment and sustainability manager with a leading materials manufacturer. This is a newly created role which has the opportunity to shape and implement sustainability initiatives while ensuring compliance with environmental and energy management systems.
Key responsibilities of the Environment and Sustainability Manager:
Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards, including audits and performance reporting.
Interpret environmental and energy data to support the implementation of management systems and identify trends to drive continuous improvement.
Work closely with the wider sustainability team to influence and embed sustainable best practice.
Support site teams, operational teams, customers and suppliers with sustainability-related issues.
A successful Environment and Sustainability Manager will have:
Demonstrable experience working with Environmental and Energy Management Systems
A degree (BSc or MSc) in an environmental discipline with a membership to ISEP as a desirable
Vast experience in a similar environmental/sustainability role, ideally within the manufacturing space or industrial sector.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
