Environment and Sustainability Manager

We're delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading childcare providers, to recruit an Environment and Sustainability Manager. The company is continuing to grow, with nearly 400 facilities across the UK, and approaching 1000 globally. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing the sustainability strategy across the UK business and will also manage the ESG data across Europe.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leader in their field to continue the development of their sustainability journey, with a real opportunity to influence direction.
This position offers hybrid working.
Responsibilities for the Environment and Sustainability Manager will include:
- Implementing the environmental and sustainability strategy across the business, monitoring carbon reduction, financial investment and savings
- Managing the ESG data across facilities based in Europe, working with the ESG committee to continually improve environmental performance
- Ensuring accurate reporting, including scopes 1 and 2 (and the development of scope 3), and communicating this across the organisation
- Working closely with the property team to ensure sustainability is embedded as early as possible, in refurbishment and new build projects
The successful Environment and Sustainability Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within education, property, facilities management, or related field
- A degree in Environment, Sustainability or related subject and ideally membership of IEMA
- Excellent communications skills with proven experience engaging a range of stakeholders
- A strong technical knowledge across environment and sustainability
