Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a large, well-known, property development and construction company to recruit an Environment and Sustainability Advisor. This role will join an established team and will work on a variety of major projects to support the company in reaching their carbon zero goals. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Environmental and Sustainability professional who is looking to develop their career further.
Responsibilities of the Environment and Sustainability Advisor will include:
- Ensuring delivery of the Environmental and Sustainability strategies, policy and compliance with the latest legislation and regulations
- Working closely with a range of stakeholders to ensure implementation of the Environmental and Sustainability strategies.
- Conduct site visits and audits, seek opportunities to drive improvements and deliver training if/when required
- Acting as the main point of contact for the environment and sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulators.
The successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will have:
- Demonstrable environmental and sustainability experience, ideally within construction, infrastructure, utilities, civils or related sector.
- Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate Environmental and/or Sustainability discipline
- A passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop a career within the environmental space.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
The role will involve the communication of ideas throughout the organisation, therefore the ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders is essential. The position will involve regular travel, therefore a UK drivers' licence is essential.
