Irwin and Colton are proud to be partnering with a renowned facilities management specialist to recruit for an Environment Advisor to oversee their projects around the UK. This role will play a vital role within the SHEQ team overseeing environmental management and ensuring compliance.
Key responsibilities of the Environment Advisor:
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Management Systems.
- Conducting site visits and audits, constantly scanning for opportunities to drive improvements and deliver training where required
- Collating audit data for presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Help to develop and implement sustainability strategies, including Net Zero goals, while advising FM and project teams on pollution prevention, waste management, and sustainable practices.
A Successful Environment Advisor will have:
- Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline
- Ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 with experience in the built environment or industrial sectors is desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and drive environmental compliance across the business.
