Health and Safety Consultant (3-Month Contract)

Are you experienced in navigating Irish health and safety legislation and confident interpreting client safety requirements?
We are supporting a technology manufacturing business in Cork to recruit a Health and Safety Consultant to support their Irish operations. The role primarily involves assessing compliance gaps, reviewing risk assessments, and advising on policy updates specific to Irish regulations. The project aims to establish a solid health and safety foundation, address key customer safety questionnaires, and enable the team to manage queries independently once completed.
The successful Health and Safety Consultant will:
- Identify compliance gaps relative to Irish health and safety legislation and adapt existing risk assessments accordingly.
- Support review and response to customer safety questionnaires and forms, ensuring accurate and confident responses.
- Advise on interpreting and updating policies to meet Irish compliance requirements.
- Provide practical guidance on safety documentation, policies, and client-specific training needs.
- Collaborate with the Cork team and US-based project lead to deliver on project objectives within the set timeframe.
The successful candidate will have:
- Hands-on manufacturing or technical experience with a solid understanding of Irish health and safety legislation.
- Ability to interpret client safety requirements and adapt policies accordingly.
- Strong communication skills, capable of supporting customer-facing documentation and compliance responses.
- Flexibility to work 2-5 days per week, with an understanding of time zone differences and remote collaboration.
