Compliance Advisor - Building Safety
Salary: £40,000 to £48,000

Would you like to support compliance within a complex property portfolio, helping to safeguard the safety of residents and staff alike?
We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Advisor to support building safety operations across university halls of residence. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining compliance, managing safety documentation, and liaising with operational teams.
Key responsibilities of the Compliance Advisor include:
- Monitoring and coordinating compliance tasks, ensuring safety checks and operational procedures are completed on time.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety assessments, FRAs, and Safety Case actions, escalating issues as needed.
- Facilitating effective communication between Residence Managers, Estates, and contractors regarding safety inspections and remedial works.
- Supporting the maintenance of the Golden Thread information by providing validated operational data and ensuring safety documentation is up to date.
- Reviewing Resident Safety Plans (PEEPs/GEEPs) for completeness and operational readiness, supporting emergency planning and risk management.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A good understanding of the Building Safety Act and fire safety regulations
- Experience managing compliance within large property portfolios, ideally within residential accommodation or similar environments.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as NEBOSH, CIOB, RICS, or IFE.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
